Cameras Captured Two Frames Of The Airplane Coming Into View In The Top Left, In A Steep Nose-Down Attitude On November 10, 2025, about 1019 eastern standard time, a Beech King Air B100, N30HG, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Coral Springs, Florida. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The flight was intended to transport relief supplies to Jamaica following a hurricane that occurred there in late October. It was to be a round-trip flight, departing from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE), Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and returning the same day. At 0913, a local church group arrived at the airplane on the ramp at FXE with the supplies, which included a generator and multiple boxes of tarpaulins, electric tools, screws, and flashlights. They had been told in advance by the pilot that he could take about 1,000 lbs of cargo; however, upon arrival they noticed that he had already loaded about 200 lbs of equipment into the airplane behind the pilot’s seat.

?"Today, Red China is hastily working at what seems very much like a knock-off of Blue Origin’s New Glenn launch vehicle. Meanwhile, the United States is poised to launch our proven Artemis booster and send our Orion spacecraft around the Moon with a crew of four astronauts. For those of us who were kids back in 1968 and watched the drama of the historic first live TV broadcast from the Moon on Christmas eve, the similarities, minus the holiday, are interesting to ponder."Source: From a recent article by ANN Spaceflight Analyst, Wes Oleszewski, notoing some similarities in between today's spaceflight ambitions and our past.

Wing kit production will be blazing on through the end of the year, followed by a ramp-up in deliveries in January. The first kit went to Kevin Eldredge: a well-known Reno racer who was first in line to place a deposit when RV-15 wing kit sales opened at EAA AirVenture 2025. Cessna announced that a Citation Ascend was accepted by the first retail customer for the aircraft, marking the entry into service of Textron Aviation’s newest private jet on December 30, 2025. The aircraft was just recently granted its type certificate by the FAA on November 5. The first production Cessna Citation Ascend rolled off the line at the Textron factory in Wichita, Kansas in September 2025. Recent reports of NASA tossing decades of research materials into the trash have gotten a reality check in the form of multiple frustrated social media posts from agency administrator Jared Isaacman. Initial triggers were sparked by the controversial closure of the iconic Goddard Space Flight Center Library. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-Unlimited!!!

The backcountry bird turned heads with the release of its wing kit at EAA AirVenture in July, but the less expected success of the year was operational: more predictable lead times, fewer backlogs, and a cleaner quality control strategy. On the kit side, Van’s delivered roughly 1,200 aircraft kits worldwide in 2025. More notably for builders, lead times tightened considerably. U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Keith Platt was one of the jumpmasters overseeing a stream of paratroopers hustling out the door of their C-130 for jump training. Platt was positioned in the final safety spot, closely scanning each soldier for any potential problems in the last moments before they jumped. The fifth soldier in line had a serious problem: the static line appeared to be looped around his neck. The skydiving community closed out 2025 at a (literal) high point, with tandem divers jumping from 42,917 feet above West Tennessee Skydiving in Whiteville. This set a Guinness World Record for the highest tandem parachute jump, adding yet another headline to an already impressive year for the sport. Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) A TFR is a regulatory action issued by the FAA via the U.S. NOTAM System, under the authority of United States Code, Title 49. TFRs are issued within the sovereign airspace of the United States and its territories to restrict certain aircraft from operating within a defined area on a temporary basis to protect persons or property in the air or on the ground. While not all inclusive, TFRs may be issued for disaster or hazard situations such as: toxic gas leaks or spills, fumes from flammable agents, aircraft accident/incident sites, aviation or ground resources engaged in wildfire suppression, or aircraft relief activities following a disaster. TFRs may also be issued in support of VIP movements, for reasons of national security; or when determined necessary for the management of air traffic in the vicinity of aerial demonstrations or major sporting events. NAS users or other interested parties should contact a FSS for TFR information. Additionally, TFR information can be found in automated briefings, NOTAM publications, and on the internet at http://www.faa.gov. The FAA also distributes TFR information to aviation user groups for further dissemination.

We're Everywhere... Thanks To You! Even with the vast resources and incredibly far-reaching scope of the Aero-News Network, every now and then a story that should be reported on slips through our fingers. There's a lot of news out there, and sometimes we just don't get to all of it. Fortunately for us, we realized early on we couldn't be everywhere at once -- curse the laws of physics! -- so we came up with the idea of News-Spies. Just as the title suggests, a News-Spy is a reader who notices a news item -- be it in the newspaper, on television, or something they came across at their own airport, town hall, at the office water cooler or just by walking down the street -- basically, any item a reader may think is newsworthy, that pertains to the world of aviation.

Leavitt Named ERAU Dean The Australian Transportation Safety Bureau (ATSB) has wrapped up its investigation into a recent skydiving incident, revealing that one of the jumpers was left hanging 15,000’ AGL from the aircraft’s horizontal stabilizer due to an inadvertent deployment of his reserve parachute. He was able to cut himself free and pull his primary chute. Cooper Aircraft Corporation has expanded support for Rotax installations with a new mount for naturally aspirated engines.
